Labor Doula Service Fees
THE FOLLOWING FEE STRUCTURE INFORMATION FOR LABOR DOULAS WILL ONLY BE APPLICABLE TO PARENTS DUE IN JULY 2020 AND BEYOND, AS LONG AS THE CDC REGULATIONS ON SOCIAL DISTANCING AND QUARANTINE HAVE BEEN LIFTED.
The Philly Doula Co-op fee structures are outlined below. Birth and postpartum support are designated as different service categories. Our fee structures reflect this distinction.
Our birth doula fees are divided into four tiers based on the number of births a doula has attended, whether she is certified or awaiting certification and her range of knowledge and years of experience.
LEVEL FEE
Tier One Uncertified $600
Tier One Certified $800
Tier One Certified $800
Tier Two $1000
Tier Three $1200
Tier Four $1400
Post-Partum Service Fees
Our postpartum doula services are based on daytime and/or overnight support, according to each family’s needs. Hiring a postpartum doula is an investment to ensure a smooth transition into new daily life after your baby is born.
Daytime rate (minimum of four hours) = $35
Overnight rate (8 – 10 hours) = $250
We request an initial deposit of $500 that can be applied to your postpartum needs as follows:
- Two overnights
- One overnight + 7.5 daytime hours
- 14.5 daytime hours
Financial Accessibility
As a collective, we strive to model our fee structure in an equitable manner, taking the livelihood needs of both our community and of our doulas to heart.
In the Fall of 2017 we launched our Access Fund, a grant initiative aimed to meet the needs of all clients and families in Philadelphia. For more information on the Access Fund, click here.
In addition to the Access Fund, many of our doulas are open to creating payment plans. These arrangements are made on a case-by-case basis, and can be discussed during your initial interview with your prospective doula.
A percentage of all client fees goes into supporting this Access Fund to ensure ongoing available funds.
